Antonis Hondrogiannis was born in Pyrgos Tinos in 1958, where he lived until the age of 17. After that he moved to Athens where he studied and learned marble art sculpting from old artisans. He dedicated himself to the art of marble sculpting for almost a decade before returning with his family in his hometown in 1986. Since then, he has had his own workshop and marble exhibition. He creates artworks based on old techniques, moderns ideas of this time but also personal compositions inspired by the culture and the history of the place that he admires so – his birthplace. A few years ago, he transferred his workshop to a private space on the road between Pyrgos and Panormos and since 2006, he has worked with his son, Ioannis Hondrogiannis, a graduate of the School of Fine Arts in Panormos Tinos. With his strong experience, knowledge, thirst for creation, view of natural environment, material and pure passion for his work, he sculpts the marble giving his personal touch in his marble sculptures.

Ioannis Hondrogiannis was born in 1985. He lives in Pyrgos Tinos, a village with great artistic tradition in marble sculpting and birthplace of many great artists such as Giannoulis Chalepas. Since he was a kid, Ioannis has been working in the Marble Sculpting Art Workshop of his father Antonis Hondrogiannis, carving the marble. There, he discovered his artistic side and decided to continue the family business. He graduated high school in 2003 and then studied at the School of Fine Arts in Pyrgos Tinos, where he graduated in 2006. Since then, he has dedicated himself wholeheartedly to marble art and marble sculpture. Armed with his studies, talent, work experience, his father’s advice and his own new ideas, he creates works inspired by the classical period, the tradition but also the daily experiences and needs of our age, by giving his soul to his artworks.

Dimitris Hondrogiannis was born on November of 1988. Growing up in Pyrgos Tinos, he was often found in his father’s workshop, sculpting various designs with the matrakas (a marble sculpting hammer) and the chisel. In 2006 he enrolled into the department of Management and Economics at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. He obtained his degree in 2012 and a bit later returned to the place of his origin, Pyrgos, the village of Arts that he loves so much. Since then, he has dealt with the family business and learned the art of marble sculpting alongside the two marble artists.
